This article highlights the work of global overseas Uchinanchu to develop a petition drive on Change.org which coincided with the first overseas visit of Okinawa Governor Denny Tamaki. In the article, GUA member Annmaria Shimabuku stressed the need for overseas Uchinanchu to support Governor Tamaki’s efforts to stop the new US military base construction in Henoko.
